最近苦练美式发音，看到以下的句子：
在美式英语中，句子中单词连读元音+元音一般要加[w]或[j]的音，如：Do I?发起来是Do [w]I?而He is a baby?读起来是He [j]is a baby?
是不是说每个元音+元音都要在句子中加上:[w]或[j],如 They lay at anchor outside the harbour.这里的They lay at发音是They lay [w]at 吗？

You know, 5+2 vowels in English, "a", "e", "i", "o", "u", and sometimes "w" and "y" ...
As you quoted, "[w]" is part of "w", so is "[j]" "y"; but you might ignore that "[w]" is end of "[u]", so is "[j]" "[i]" ...
