Installing Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse
To install the Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse, you can do one of the following:
- Use the Eclipse Update Manager.
- Download, and then unzip OEPE plugins directly into the Eclipse
dropins
folder and restart Eclipse. For more information, see the OEPE download page on OTN. - Download and unzip the "all-in-one" kit, which includes Eclipse along with the OEPE plug-ins. For more information, see the OEPE download page on OTN.

Software Requirements
To use the Eclipse Update Manager or to download the OEPE plugins, you must have an existing installation of Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers in the form of Eclipse 3.5 Galileo SR1 package or Eclipse 3.6 Helios that is available for download on the Eclipse Downloads page .
Note: Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse 11g Release 1 Patch Set 1 is not compatible with prior Eclipse Galileo releases, including the base Galileo release.

Using the Eclipse Update Manager
You use the Eclipse Update Manager for Eclipse 3.5 Galileo SR1 as follows:

- Select Help > Install New Software .
- Click Add to add a new update site.
- In the Add Site dialog, enter the location as http://download.oracle.com/otn_software/oepe/galileo , and then click OK .
- Select Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse , verify that all of the subcomponents are selected, and then click Next .
- Confirm information presented in the Install Details , and then click Finish .

You use the Eclipse Update Manager for Eclipse 3.6 Helios as follows:

- Select Help > Install New Software .
- Click Add to add a new update site.
- In the Add Repository dialog, enter the location as http://download.oracle.com/otn_software/oepe/helios , and then click OK .
- Select Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse , verify that all of the subcomponents are selected, and then click Next .
- Confirm information presented in the Install Details , and then click Finish .
