Grammar
It’s + adj. + to do sth.
It’s just terrifying to be alone in a place where you don’t know anybody.
在这个句子中，it是 形式主语 (formal subject)，真正的主语是 to be alone in a place where you don’t know anybody，但是这个主语比较长，为了避免头重脚轻，用 it做形式主语，而将真正的主语放在后面位于句尾。
