这个软件叫Longman Exams Coach（直译过来叫朗文考试教练）
它拥有一个比较土的界面，不过神奇的是，在我的Windows 8.1上运行一点问题没有。
这款软件带有字典、语法书、托福、雅思等考试辅导等功能，我只用了其中的字典，就发现了它的不同之处。
它的词典有什么不同呢？也许你用过金山词霸、有道词典，那些词典仅仅是给一般查词典的人准备的。Longman Exams Coach带的词典，是真正给学习英语的人量身定做的。
举个例子，overwhelm这个单词是一个常见的四六级词汇，背单词的时候我们大致背一个意思，比如之前我背的就是“压垮、覆盖”就完事了。到底怎么用就不知道了。和collapse、overlap有什么不同也搞不清楚，反正词义差不多。看看这本朗文的词典告诉我们一些什么：
1emotion if someone is overwhelmed by an emotion, they feel it so strongly that they cannot think clearly
